Public Hours

Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Saturday – Sunday: closed)

In 2013 the library will be closed to the public on:

  • January 1 (New Year's)
  • March 29-April 1 (Easter)
  • April 25 (Liberation Day)
  • May 1 (Festa del Lavoro)
  • June 24 (Saint John's, local holiday)
  • July 4 (Independence Day, USA)
  • August 1-30
  • November 1 (All Saints)
  • November 21, 1 to 6 p.m. (Thanksgiving)
  • December 23-31 (Christmas)

Public Services / Reference Desk

  • Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

I Tatti Appointees

Daily from 8 a.m. to 12 midnight.

  • Spouses or companions of current appointees only who are also scholars and would like extended hours should make a request to the Head Librarian.
  • Appointees’ guests are not permitted in the library outside of public hours.
  • Former appointees must request a keycard from the Security staff in order to use the library outside of public hours.
