I Tatti Studies: Essays in the Renaissance

I Tatti Studies: Essays in the Renaissance, begun in 1985, publishes articles on all aspects of the Italian Renaissance. The editorial board welcomes submissions of individual articles that address any aspect of the Italian Renaissance broadly defined as the period ranging from the 13th to the late 17th centuries. Essays can focus on any aspect of Renaissance Italy: its literary, religious, artistic, performative, historical, social, scientific, and global dimensions. The journal particularly welcomes interdisciplinary and comparative essays that situate Italy in relation to the rest of the world, and the Renaissance in relation to other epochs. Editors would also be interested in suggestions for 3-4 essay "clusters" on single themes or theoretical issues. Contributors do not need to have had any prior association with Villa I Tatti. Essays can appear in English or Italian.
