The Art Institute of Nanjing University and Villa I Tatti, The Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies (Florence, Italy) are pleased to announce a conference on "The Italian Renaissance and Chinese Receptions," to be held at Nanjing University. This conference aims to explore how the Italian Renaissance has been understood and interpreted in China —especially in the fields of art and architecture, art history, and aesthetics— and the impact of this period on the artistic, intellectual, and philosophical cultures of China.
