Harvard students, Harvard alumni, and students and scholars of the Renaissance
Harvard students, Harvard alumni, and students and scholars of the Renaissance may request to visit the Villa, its collections, and the garden. Visits are only on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons at 3pm and in order not to interrupt the scholars at work, tours do not include the library. Tours are offered in English and spaces are limited (max. 8).
May-June and September-October are particularly busy so if you are planning to request a visit, please do so well in advance. Tours of the Villa and garden are not available during the months of July, August and at the beginning of September. Tours are also unavailable during the winter/holiday break; on days when I Tatti is closed and during weeks when events are taking place at the center.
Although Villa I Tatti functions as an active research center and not a museum, we do offer a number of tours for the general public throughout the academic year. Spaces are limited (max. 8) and tours are offered in English. We regret that we do not permit children under the age of 12 to join tours.
Tours for academic year 2020/2021 have been suspended. Please continue to visit this page for the most up-to-date information.
