Project Summary

This research project is concerned with early self-portraiture with professional tools (palette, brush, easel) produced in Italy between 1545-1560. She would like to investigate the connections with similar Dutch and German self-portraiture of this period to establish whether there is a particular Italian tradition or an international pattern.
