Zhang Chen is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Art History, School of Humanities, Central Academy of Fine Arts of Beijing, majored in Visual Culture Studies and Comparison between Chinese and Western Art. His PhD dissertation is a study on western art theories of body, such as Gilles Deleuze and Michel Foucault, and he aims to rethink the subject concerning the relationship between body and space in Italian Renaissance in the perspective of contemporary theories.

张晨目前是北京中央美术学院人文学院美术史系的博士研究生，研究方向为视觉文化理论研究，与中西美术比较。其博士论文主要研究西方艺术理论中的身体理论，如吉尔·德勒兹、米歇尔·福柯等，并尝试从当代理论视角出发，对意大利文艺复兴艺术中的身体与空间问题，展开新的思考。
