We are pleased to announce that I Tatti has appointed a new Development Consultant based in New York.
Dr. Christiana Killian has helped build support for foundations in Europe and the US. She has extensive experience as a fundraiser, most recently holding senior roles at the American Academy in Rome, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the Byrn Hoffman Watermill Foundation, the American Visionary Art Museum, the Museum of the City of New York, Intelligence Squared US, and the Partnership for Gender-Specific Medicine at Columbia University. She has worked on important international fundraising events, institutional giving and major capital campaigns. She is familiar with the challenges of fundraising for an institution based in Italy, and not only knows Rome well but has long and deep connections to Italy and Europe.
Dr. Killian holds a PhD from Union Theological Seminary, two Masters, one from Harvard and one from Cambridge University, and a BA from Barnard College (Columbia University)—a trajectory that speaks for her deep insight into various academic constituencies: European, Harvard (I Tatti's “casa madre”) and New York.
With her wealth of skills and experience and her passion as an advocate for the humanities, we are certain that Christiana will be a great asset at this moment of expansion and growth for our center, and we welcome her warmly to our team.
