Announcing a cluster for the fall 2018 issue of I Tatti Studies in the Italian Renaissance:Essays on any aspect of Renaissance culture or thought that conveys a sense of incompleteness, ranging from political, religious, or ideological projects to musical, theatrical, artistic, scientific, and/or literary works left - purposefully or unintentionally - unfinished. Also welcome are essays offering interpretations of the renaissance as a moment 'incomplete' unto itself, or any aspect of the criticism or historiography of the Renaissance that focuses on the incomplete. We accept submissions in Italian or English of 6,000-10,000 words (including notes).We especially encourage scholars who might wish to take advantage of the multi-media capabilities of our online version of the journal (video or audio clips).
Deadline is September 25, 2017, for complete essays; accepted submissions will be announced by mid-November.
