I Tatti's soccer team recently won the final of a friendly five-a-side tournament against the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz. The game ended 3-1, with Graduate Fellow Konrad Boeschenstein, I Tatti/DHI Rom Joint Fellow for African Studies Cheikh Sene, and I Tatti/Museo Nacional del Prado Joint Fellow Johannes Gebhardt scoring the winning goals. The I Tatti Fellows have been playing friendly matches against members of the Florentine academic community throughout the year, culminating in the exclusive I Tatti / KHI final on Wednesday, June 21 at the Centro Sportivo Calcio on Via Giusti. Our hope is for the tournament to become a tradition and we look forward to future matches in academic year 2023/24 and beyond.
