Biography
Anne Dunlop holds the Herald Chair in Fine Arts at the University of Melbourne. She is a specialist of fourteenth- and fifteenth-century Italian art, with a particular interest in early secular art and the links between Italy and Mongol Eurasia. Her most recent books are Andrea del Castagno and the Limits of Painting (2015), and The Matter of Art: Materials, Practices, Cultural Logics, c. 1250-1750 (2014, 2015), co-edited with Christy Anderson and Pamela H. Smith. She was a Hanna Kiel Fellow at I Tatti in 2009-2010.
Project Summary
Global Renaissance is intended as an introduction to the newly-global movement of artistic images, objects, and ideas about art in the period between about 1400 and 1700.
