Biography
Cédric Quertier (PhD, Paris 1 – Pantheon Sorbonne University / University of Florence, 2014) is specialist in the economic and social history of medieval Tuscany (Florence, Pisa), especially in the fields of merchant cultures, commercial law and economic institutions, mobility/migration, foreigners/strangers. Being an alumnus of the Ecole Normale Superieure (Lyon), he has held a postdoctoral fellowship at the École Française de Rome and has taught medieval history at the universities of Paris and Toulouse. He has co-published a collective book (Arriver en ville, 2013), is currently finishing the publication of his dissertation and of conference proceedings in the Mélanges de l’Ecole Française de Rome.
