I Tatti is pleased to announce the publication of the third and fourth volumes in the I Tatti Research Series

Edited by Maria Berbara, Sacrifice and Conversion in the Early Modern Atlantic World  illuminates a particular aspect of the mutual influences between the European invasions of the American continent and the crisis of Christianity during the Reform and its aftermaths: the conceptualization and representation of sacrifice. The collected essays arise from the conference Sacrifice and Conversion between Europe and the New World which took place at I Tatti in April 2018.

Edited by Mario Casari, Monica Preti and Michael Wyatt, the contributions in Ariosto and the Arabs: Contexts for the Orlando Furioso shed new light on the relational systems generated by and illustrative of Ariosto’s great poem, connecting the Mediterranean region from late antiquity through the medieval period into early modernity and beyond. The conference of the same name took place at I Tatti in October 2017.
