VISITING PROFESSORSHIPS

Each semester, several distinguished senior scholars serve as Visiting Professors. Such appointments are made taking into account the synergy of the nominated Fellows in a particular year, their respective projects, and the potential for dynamic interdisciplinary exchange. As with all Harvard appointments at I Tatti, this position can be held only once, and cannot be deferred.

In addition to housing on the I Tatti property and funds to cover their airfare and utilities, Visiting Professors are offered lunch and tea on weekdays, provided a study in the main Villa, given access to the Biblioteca Berenson seven days a week, and encouraged to participate in all aspects of the intellectual life of the Center, including site visits, conferences, and seminars.
