Biography

Victoria Addona is a PhD candidate in History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University, where her research has focused on the intersections between the arts in Granducal Florence. Her dissertation explores the collaborative and pedagogical activities at the Medici court architect Bernardo Buontalenti’s informal school. She completed a BA in Art History at McGill University in 2010, and received an MA in Art History and Theory from the University of British Columbia in 2012 with a thesis on Cinquecento painted facades in Venice. As a graduate fellow at I Tatti, she plans to read a broad selection of texts on late sixteenth-century artistic and architectural training, theory, and practice.
